The Nitpixels Podcast returns this week with your hosts Alex Ziebart, Matthew Rossi and Mat McCurley. We ran slightly long this week, but many of you have been asking us for longer shows, so I can’t imagine that will be a real issue. This week our discussion topics include:
- Darksiders 2
- Interplay’s financial woes and the downfall of Fallout Online
- What we’re most excited to see at E3
- Activision’s Call of Duty Elite program
- A giveaway announcement for the week of E3
- And far more than we can possibly list!
As has become tradition during the Nitpixels Show, the end of our show was dedicated to going shopping. Because that’s what we do. To make it easier for all of you to follow along, here are the links and images referenced during our shopping spree:
- Timewing Schematics Poster
- The Art of Jace Wallace – Warning: Mildly NSFW
- Nintendo Nouveau

The Nitpixels Podcast Episode 5: One awkward pause too many

After a brief break last week so we could all recuperate from endless sleep deprivation, the Nitpixels Podcast returns with episode 5. Matthew Rossi, Mat McCurley, and Alex Ziebart are your hosts this week — Mike Sacco is down and out thanks to a bum internet connection, but he should be back next week.
This week the Nitpixels crew discusses…
- Crysis
- Mass Effect 2‘s latest DLC, Arrival
- April Fools’ Day
- The game releases we’re most looking forward to this year
- A multi-million dollar bar mitvah that is totally video game related, we swear (pictures here)
- Custer’s Revenge
- …and more!

The Nitpixels Podcast Episode 3: I really want to do her
Posted by Alex Ziebart in Podcast on March 16, 2011

The third episode of the Nitpixels Podcast is now available for download with hosts Mathew McCurley, Matthew Rossi and Alex Ziebart. Michael Sacco was out of commission this week, likely a conspiracy to prevent Mike and Alex from being on the air at the same time.
This week, the Nitpixels crew discusses…
- PAX East
- Star Wars: The Old Republic
- Duke Nukem
- Sexism and satire in video games
- The lore of Diablo II
- A whole lot of Dragon Age II
Be warned that toward the end of the podcast, there are Dragon Age II spoilers. However, the hosts give clear cues as to when these are incoming, so a careful listener can very likely avoid them all.

Behold! The first edition of the new Nitpixels Podcast, with hosts Michael Sacco, Matthew Rossi and Mathew McCurley (also known as the hosts of the WoW Insider Show), who will later be joined by Nitpixels admin and editor Alex Ziebart. After a less-than-graceful start to the episode, the team finds their groove and gets to gabbin’.
This edition of the Nitpixels Podcast discusses Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the philosophy behind MMO design, the art of DLC, and the intricacies of wonton soup. You can listen to the podcast embedded below. As this is our first edition of the Nitpixels podcast, it will not immediately be found on iTunes but we’ll make it happen as quickly as we can.
Do you have a question you would like to ask the Nitpixels crew? Have comments about the podcast? Email us at mailbag@nitpixels.com and we’ll answer it on the next edition of the Nitpixels Podcast if it strikes our fancy.
