One thing I feel makes or breaks voice acting is the writing.  And I have two points to make regarding writing and World of Warcraft. First is that while Blizzard writing is good,  for what is essentially an RTS developer, it doesn’t compare to the writing that Bioware has done.  Secondly and more importantly, since WoW is a mostly read game w/o a whole lot of voicing, WoW is written to be read.   It doesn’t work most of the time when spoken and since those writers write that way for the most part it doesn’t really work.

I think the shoddiness in voicing in WoW comes from both lack of directing and a lack of proper writing.

I think the parts that have good voicing work because the writing works in that medium, and that there likely still is mediocre or worse direction.

I’m just wondering if I should right now, considering all the stuff coming out. Maybe I’ll play it like… in the weird lull after Mass Effect 3 and before Mists.

I watched my roomates playing it on a 60″ tv, and I just got it for the holidays and it is still fantastic. You’d have to watch everything forever to be worn out of Skyrim.
