I had a TI-85 in high school which I inherited from my two-year older brother. Nobody else had that calculator, and I’ve not seen anyone else with it since. So I couldn’t get any of these games. When I was bored in math class I dicked around seeing what the various functions on my calculator did. I did learn how to use my calculator really well. It probably contributed to my good math grades.

Murlocs suck now because they got rid of what made them difficult. I used to call them ‘campfire pulls’ because a group of mobs would often be around a campfire and pulling one would mean pulling all of them. They were one of my favorite parts of leveling up because they really challenged you to use all of your abilities and learn your class.

I’ve eaten cat food. I was at a factory in Russia (that was a fun time) where they were making it. I was offered some fresh, warm cat food to try. It was horrible. I also got to have fresh M&Ms. Yum.

The Baconing is the second sequel to DeathSpank. I downloaded DeathSpank for my PS3 and it was fun at first but it’s just gotten silly and the gameplay has gotten stale. It’s a quest based action RPG thing with incredibly boring combat. It’s supposed to be ‘funny’, or so I hear.

I actually hate the Murlocs, I used to level with my friend from time to time and he knew how much I hated Murlocs.  It can be so hard to pull just one at any location, all of a sudden you hear that sound they make and you are overwhelmed.  But that was the Murlocs, I don’t want them to change, I remember certain quests and I wait for a friend so I don’t pull my hair out like Murlocs, Hogger, etc…  You are right, they challenged you.  I haven’t leveled in awhile but I remember things were hard, at least for me, some of the quests in Redridge, Murlocs, etc..  DAMN IT!  I want to level a character again at least until Outlands.

I know I’m a week late on this question but what what single book about Benjamin Franklin would you recommend I read Rossi?  I was very intrigued by your tangent about him.

OMG!  I already loved this podcast but when Mat started talking about QBasic I fell in love with the podcast even more.  LOL!  I used to play those games on QBasic all the time, yeah I played Gorillas and Nibbles all the time.  I used to do a bit of programming in QBasic and GWBasic too when I was a kid though I wasn’t very good.   I was born in ’77 and my first computer was 286 so I played games since then.  My childhood was filled with QBasic games, Sierra Games (Space Quest, Police Quest, King’s Quest, Quest for Glory, etc….) and Willy Beamish, etc….

I should have waited to post because now Alex is talking about Shay and CTFxC.  Definitely fun to watch vloggers and Alex explained it in a good way.  It’s a life you don’t get to live but you still get to experience it in some ways.  I haven’t watched them as much lately but still enjoyable when I sit back and watch a few.

Since you’ve mentioned it a few times, where is a good place to watch Starcraft II matches with commentary? I’d like to give it a try.

Oh man, I used to play Gorillas when I was in high school.  One of my friends was really good at math and would always, always beat me.  But we had good times anyway.
